A Wild List for March 2014

Finally, we’re back with a new list. The list for February was unfortunately cancelled, but we hope that you’ll enjoy the March edition (even though we’re a little late). As always, there’s a little bit of old and a little bit of new. We’ve got fresh stuff from Drive-By Truckers, St. Vincent and Micah P. A Wild List for January 2014

 

We were a bit delayed this month, what with all the holidays and stuff. But the list has finally been completed and there are some fine tracks on it. Bruce Springsteen makes his first repeat appearance on the list with “High Hopes”. We revisit the 90s with Pulp’s “Cocaine Socialism” and Smashing Pumpkins’ “1979”. It’s not all old stuff, though – we’ve got Patterns, Ed Harcourt, and Mutual Benefit with us as well.

A Wild List for November 2013

November’s list is here. We start off with Swedish singer Laleh’s first single, “Colors”, from her new album with the same name. After that we progress through synth, folk rock and bluegrass. As always, there’s a mix of old and new. Among the older tracks this month, we have “Homeboy” by Angel Corpus Christi and “Frontier Psychiatrist” by The Avalanches. “Homeboy” is one of the standout track from 95’s (not 2007 as Spotify thinks) “White Courtesy Phone”. “Frontier Psychiatrist” was released in 2000. The newer tracks include Valerie June’s “Somebody to Love”, from the new album “Pushin’ Against A Stone”. Make sure not to miss that!
